This would NEVER happen to a white man...NEVER!
But WHY wasn't he calm and collected and just let the officer explain why he was wrongly accused, detained, and arrested like a criminal in front of his family, friends, community, and bystanders? Why wasn't he calm as he was dragged out in front of his domestic partner and child? Why wasn't he calm as the police put the public energy to implicate him but none in order to exonerate him? Why wasn't he calm as he stood wrongly accused and had they not found the right person he would have stood trial and most likely been convicted as the wrong person and then punished up to 5 times more for a crime he did not commit? Why wasn't he calm as the possibility of his murder existed as people with guns who have been known to be presented as judge, jury, and executioner took him away without cause? But why wasn't HE calm...IN VIRGINIA BEACH?
I reiterate...THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO A WHITE MAN...NEVER!

@Airbase7 say it again. as you said dreads are for spiritual connotations not for fashion which negros in amerika have turned it into. And as you also stated seems every, not all but too many murdering raping thieving negro criminal you see in the news male or female has those raggedy ass unkempt dreads ( no offense to the people who maintain ) . So stands to reason that since this is happening so much with these types , a person would be apprehensive or suspicious of any black person coming towards or around them . I even have developed that suspicion. A lot of people will say ignorant shit such as "thats our culture" which i counter with "no it's not " unless you are rasta, or belong to a religious order that prefers you wear that style. but as is have said anything black people do good , niggas will fuck it up , and thats what you have here. if i'm in a society where everyone wore dreads then i would feel uncomfortable without, . and that applies to amerika . their perception here and perhaps worldwide is that dreads denote criminality, and sad to say when you tell negros here that they get offended. just as you tell them twerking is unsightly in the wrong venue, they will also say some ignorant shit such as "thats our culture" it's not. I find the people who continue this type behaviour even after being made aware are more oft than not the poor uneducated refusing to learn or conform on simple facts negro who loves to portray this image which is a detriment to the whole of black people. sure this brother has the right to wear his hair whichever way he chooses, but unfortunately too many with that "look" are constantly wreaking havoc and destruction not only in the black community but the white as well. In other words as i would say , you conform to the environment and country you live in. conforming does not mean you have to lose your identity. only a fool conceptualizes their identity with fashion and dress. and we have too many fools running around pretending to be black and using it conveniently when they are aware of doing something that may draw ire, and suddenly they cry foul

I would like to request for help to be assisted for the sake of my mother's health. She is sick with chronic Asmatic condition which makes her life difficult with prolonged cough. We wish to request for help to relocate her from our rular areas which is very cold and difficult for her to survive. All the triggers of her condition are present in that area. Helping her out to relocate will be the number one help. Thankyou in advance for your kind gesture towards a sick mother.

"The Root"

The Root is an African American-oriented online magazine. It was launched on January 28, 2008, by Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Donald E. Graham. It was owned by Graham Holdings Company through its online subsidiary, The Slate Group.

In July 2017, the blog, Very Smart Brothas, co-founded by Damon Young and Panama Jackson, became a vertical of The Root.

Danielle Belton was editor-in-chief at The Root between 2017 and 2021 ,when she was appointed editor of HuffPost.[6][7] On April 14, 2021 it was announced that Vanessa De Luca had been appointed editor-in-chief.
